Max Stambaugh will begin new year with Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

ELIDA, OH (January 11, 2018) – In hopes of jumpstarting the new year with a victory lane appearance in the Sunshine State, “Mad Max” Stambaugh will kick-off his 2018 campaign by joining the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions in sunny, northern Florida.

Stambaugh, the 2017 Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions Rookie of the Year, will pilot his family-owned, Hampshire Racing Engines-powered, No. 5M sprinter during his trip south of the Mason-Dixon, visiting Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala and Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville. The Elida, Ohio, native hopes to pick up right where he left off and add to an Arctic Cat All Star resume that includes one top-five and 13 top-ten finishes.

“The intent is to run the All Stars full-time again in 2018,” Stambaugh said, who highlighted his 2017 All Star campaign with a podium run at Eldora Speedway in September. “We are going to start the year with the All Stars and see how things unfold week by week. Florida will set the tone for us. If we can come out of there with a handful of positive finishes, I think we’ll have a much better mindset moving forward.”

Tentatively, Stambaugh’s 2018 Florida campaign will consist of five events in eight days; three at Bubba Raceway Park stretching from February 1-3, and two consecutive at Volusia Speedway Park on February 7-8. All five events will award $5,000 top prizes.

“I can’t thank my dad, Tim Stambaugh, and my uncle, Ted Stambaugh, enough for making all of this possible for me,” Stambaugh continued. “David Diller has stepped up and will be helping us turn the wrenches. I think we have a lot of potential and the experience necessary to be competitive. A full year on the All Star tour in 2017 helped us prepare during the last few months. I’m ready to go.”

Caleb Armstrong will hunt for Chili Bowl Nationals title beginning Thursday on John Christner Trucking Night

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

TULSA, OK (January 10, 2018) – New Castle, Indiana’s Caleb Armstrong will attempt to capture Chili Bowl Nationals gold in 2018, launching his campaign atop one of dirt’s biggest stages on Thursday afternoon, January 11, during John Christner Trucking Qualifying Night. Over 350 midget sprint car entries will make the call over four nights of preliminary action, all seeking an opportunity to start in the coveted, 55-lap A-main on Saturday night.

“The car was fine. I just forgot it didn’t have a wing on it,” Armstrong chuckled regarding his practice roll over. “I tried to get a little too much out of the car right away. No big deal. Major partners return to Brock Zearfoss Racing for 2018

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

JONESTOWN, PA (December 21, 2017) – Port Royal Speedway sprint car champion and seven-time Central Pennsylvania winner, Brock Zearfoss, is pleased to announce that all major partners affiliated with Brock Zearfoss Racing will return for the 2018 season. The “Jonestown Jet” will ring in the New Year with major support from Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Meckley’s Limestone, Central Builders Supply Co., Berkebile Oil Company, and BAPS Auto Paint & Supply.

“I know for a fact that we wouldn’t have had the success that we did without their help,” Zearfoss said regarding aforementioned sponsors. “There are a lot of others affiliated with this race team that shouldn’t go unrecognized. Our contingency partners and product sponsors work just as hard and provide me with the equipment and products necessary to be successful. 2017 was a dream season for my race team. All we can do now and head into 2018 with the intent to keep that momentum alive and keep winning races.”

Zearfoss will release his schedule for the 2018 season just after the New Year. Tentatively, the plan is to travel frequently, also making time for higher paying programs, such as World of Outlaws and Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions events, in the surrounding region.

“We don’t have our entire schedule set in stone just yet, but we do have something special in the works for early February,” continued Zearfoss. “We should have a full schedule released just after the New Year. I have a few more schedules to check over, then we should be good to go. Hopefully the fans enjoy what we come up with. They fuel our sport and I appreciate their support and loyalty.”

On a special note, 2018 Brock Zearfoss Racing merchandise will be available in the coming weeks. Stay tuned online and on social media for more information.

Western Australia Speedweek and Chili Bowl Nationals ahead for Ryan Smith

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

PERTH, Australia (December 19, 2017) – The “Kunkletown Kid” Ryan Smith will stay active during the winter months, first tackling five events in Western Australia between December 26 and January 6, all before making a last-minute trek back across the Pacific Ocean for the Chili Bowl Nationals in Tulsa, Oklahoma. For Smith, the trip Down Under will be a first-ever for the 2017 Arctic Cat All Star runner-up, joining Kendrick Racing for five races in 11 days at three different facilities.

“Earning the opportunity to drive a sprint car in Australia is something I’ve been working toward since I started. I’m excited to finally have that chance,” Ryan Smith said. “I can’t thank Kendrick Racing and the entire team enough for this opportunity. I’m sure it will take some time to get acclimated with the equipment and race tracks, but we’re going to work as hard as we can and push for solid results.”

Smith will take part in the USA vs Western Australia Speedweek during his visit to Australia’s west coast, entering events at Perth Motorplex (December 26 and January 1), Avon Valley Speedway (December 27), and Quit Bunbury Speedway (December 30, January 6).

With little time to spare, Smith will leave Western Australia on January 7, ultimately flying into Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he will join car owner, Sarah Fisher, and teammate, Joey Saldana, for the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Midget Nationals at River Spirit Expo Center. Smith is certainly no stranger to Chili Bowl Nationals competition, highlighting recent Chili Bowl starts with a 13th place finish during the first of two finale B-mains a year ago. Well over 300 entries will make the call once again in 2018.

“I’ve been close, so I think we have it in us to make the big dance,” Smith continued about the Chili Bowl, which will take over racing headlines from January 8-13. “It’s a big deal, definitely one of dirt’s biggest stages. I’m privileged to be able to race for Sarah Fisher, and have Joey Saldana as a teammate. Hopefully we can get rolling right away and set ourselves up during our qualifying night. I’m excited to get there.”
